5 easy steps to optimize your PDFs 

  1. Give it a keyword-rich, descriptive title
  2. Include alt descriptions for your images
  3. Add links back to seic.com, including specific, relevant pages
  4. Fill in the PDF’s metadata (see below)
  5. Give it a search-friendly file name (read "Naming PDF files")

Ask your designer to optimize the metadata fields within the PDF. Fill in the fields in the Properties, using well-optimized keywords:

  • Put “SEI” in the Author field
  • Write a subject line that describes the topic
  • Add relevant keywords in the Keyword field
