How to add legal copy and disclaimers

Legal copy is no longer available as a flexible content piece.

To add a disclaimer to your page, use the Basic Content WSYIWYG:

  1. Select Basic Content
  2. Enter the legal text
  3. Select/highlight the legal text
  4. Click the "Styles" dropdown
  5. Select "Legal Footnote"

This legal footnote styling can be applied to any line of text within the Basic Content WYSIWYG.

When the page is saved, the Legal Footnote styling shows the text as a slightly smaller font size (as indicated in the red box) than the Normal text styling.

Alternative: In some cases, the Legal department may ask you to keep the legal disclaimer to the same size as the rest of the language on the page. In those cases, you would simply use normal font, and italicize it.
